@AP_Techie Have already replied in my previous posts. This Modem module doesn't support MIMO. Just mount them as independent antennas. Or use one antenna will get you gain. There is no where mentioned on this device or its datasheet of a Main and Diversity(Aux) antenna support that creates multipath to the Cell Towers. Even TP link doesn't recommend using external antennas. Currently I am not using any antennas with my router. With default antennas are sufficient now to get me constant speeds of ~120 Mbps during peak hours and ~150 Mbps during off-hours. Thankful to Airtel for fixing the antenna orientation on the closest tower ( ~103 Meters)

Before I couldn't cross 20 Mbps on any single band or combination. After requesting Airtel they fixed it and pointed the TDD 2300 Mhz antenna towards my home.   I am attaching the pictures below.  I am no longer using TP-Link forum. Please email me any queries. Personally I was not satisfied with this device MR600 for such a price tag. I am purchasing a 4x4 MIMO Device ( 256 QAM) supports CAT19 and utpo 5-Carrier Aggregation of all possible Band Combinations .

@AP_Techie  If you are not for CA ie., only band 3, then please mount vertically. It will help. Only when you do CA, tilted mounting helps.

@mallipoo I wil try vertical alignment. Does vertical mean pointing the shorter end of the antenna to sky?

@Sunshine Can you please confirm if there is any plan or not to support 40A-40A CA on this MR600 V1 router. TP-Link has released a new version V2 with 40A-40A support.

So, pls tell us what to do now with this V1 router? This router is now useless for me and so many people like me who brought this device with confidence that it will support 4G+ on commonly used 40A-40A 2CA bands in almost every state in India by our mobile service providers AIRTEL and JIO.

Now the main issue with TP-Link is:

1. MR600 V1 product full technical specification is still not given on your good website with supported CA combination band information.

2. After several requests to this forum about 40A-40A CA support, there is no response from the TP-Link R&D/ support team or from the moderators about the beta firmware.

3. Suddenly TP-Link releases version 2 of MR600 with proper technical specification on the website with the full support of Indian providers CA bands which supports 40A-40A.

It is very disappointing that I have a great MR600 V1 4G+ router which is a costlier 150 US$ router with the only 2CA supports and TP-Link does the marketing slogan as "Worlds No1 WiFi Device provider" which creates a good trust with the customers in the TP-Link products but the product is not working as marketed by TP-Link.

Finally, I would say in one line that MR600 V1 supports full-duplex but my router is working and only capable to deliver the speed like in Half-Duplex mode.

I am no-more using my MR600 V1 router and very much enjoying like the full-duplex speed with a hotspot from my old Samsung Galaxy J8 device which supports

fully 40A-40A 2CA mode and getting almost 90 to 106 Mbps from AIRTEL and JIO both service providers which TP-Link is unable to provide support on MR600 V1.

So, MR600 V1 is no more a useful product for the Indian providers.

Regards,

Rajiv

@AP_Techie Vertical means without tilt. Small end to point to tower.

@mallipoo I wonder why is TPlink under utilizing the Qualcomm X12 modem in MR600. I have posted the modem capabilities in this thread.

Due to COVID no production and high demand, because most of the Amaz/Flip says not available, So not sure whether u will get V2 and not sure V2 is available in India because somewhere its mentioned only in available in UK(but that is not trusted resource).
