@LexCali

To better help you, please help to confirm the following information.

1. Would you please describe your network diagram in detail? How many Deco do you have? Are the Deco units connect to each other via wired or wireless? Do they on the same floor?

2. Please help to check what's the status of the LED on the Deco when the problem happens.

3. Do all of your clients disconnect to the Deco at the same time?

4. When you lose the internet connection, have you disconnected to the Wi-Fi name?

5. How do you recover the internet connection? By reboot the Deco?

Same issue here and there are several other posts with same/similar issue.

X60s reboot several times a day with light going from green to yellow to red then back to green.  WiFi signal drops during reboot.  Confirmed there is not internet outage at the cable model level during reboots.

It just happened while I was typing this and I had to wait to post until they came back on line :)  Note this is the second set of X60s - we sent the first set back for the same issue thinking it must be a HW problem.

1. How many Deco do you have?

Three.

Are the Deco units connect to each other via wired or wireless?

Main to cable modem via Ethernet.  Other 2 are wireless to main unit.

Do they on the same floor?

Each is on its own floor.

2. Please help to check what's the status of the LED on the Deco when the problem happens.

Green to Yellow to Red to Green

3. Do all of your clients disconnect to the Deco at the same time?

Yes.

4. When you lose the internet connection, have you disconnected to the Wi-Fi name?

Yes.

5. How do you recover the internet connection? By reboot the Deco?

I do nothing.  It takes about 1 min for it to recover on its own.

@Dep

Do you have a surface/surface pro laptop connected to the Deco network?

I've been having the same issue since purchasing the X60 in March. However, it has gotten worse the last week.

Yes:

  • I do have a Surface Pro on the Network
  • 3 X60's on network, Base Upstairs and two units downstairs
  • It seems to happen every morning when I'm first getting started

@Warpo

Yes, we have 2 SP 5's and 1 SP 6.

The reboots have taken place while one or more SP was active on the network and when none were active.

Like the other user posted, it does seem to reboot in the morning when I start working (on a SP or other device) but then it also happens throughout the day and night as well.

When the surface pro laptop connected to the Deco X60, it may cause Deco reboot automatically, for the Deco X60, you can refer to the link below to download the firmware and update the firmware to solve the problem.

Thank you.  That did not resolve the reboots I am sorry to report.

Since we need stable WiFi and the returns window is closing I am sending this back to the retailer.  Shame as it seems like an ideal solution for our needs; just without random reboots!

Best wishes for getting to a resolution on this issue.

I got a beta firmware from their support and seems to be more stable. I also use smart plugs to reboot it every nite and haven't had a disconnection in a week. You might want to test it out yourself.

+1 on having issues with spontanious reboots. I bought three X60's yesterday so not too much of observations yet and still experiementing to find the cause.

Setup:

- X60 #1 basement connected to Modem (Fiber); Configured for "router mode". Using a custom DNS setting (on my internal network); Changed default IP range to match my setup.

- X60 #2 using ethernet to #1 on upper floor via a D-Link Gigabit switch (read somewhere that this could be the issue for internal communication issues between the devices) and will try to replace that switch with something else.

- X60 #3 wireless connection to #1 (varies between 2/3 to 1/3 in signal strength reported by the app gui)

- Home Assistant that does ARP scan and also now configured to do ICMP (ping) monitoring every 30s to check that the three nodes are alive.

Firmware:

- 1.2.4 Build 20200527 Release 42769

After frequent reconnects yesterday (screaming teenager gamers used as my 24x7 monitor system) I've started disabling things, taking the approach to first disable as much as possible and if stable enable one at a time. About 30+ devices on the network.

Today has been better since yesterday's disabling of funtions. But still one reboot as I noticed of #2. On top of the reboots a mobile phone Samsung S9 Note+ less than ten meters from X60 #2 looses internet connection frequently.

Disabled

- All three Antivitus features

- IPv6

- IPTV

- DDNS

- Quick Roaming

- Guest Network

Still active

- Beam forming

- SIP (even though I don't think I need it)

- 2.4 and 5GHz

Observations: When I made some DHCP reservations yesterday the kids started screaming at the same time as they temporary lost connection for some OTHER devices. Same thing when I added two port openings.
