Hi

 

I have an AC1200 modem / Router (Archer VR400)

 

I bought it as I use Google wifi and I keep getting double Nat issues, I thought I can set this up as a modem only and have my google wifi hub plugged directly into this, I unchecked DHCP under Advanced and Lan settings and I turned off wifi, I am getting internet into the VR400 but my google wifi wont work, it does not seem to assign an IP address and the internet is not passing through to the google wifi hub.

 

Can anyone advise me about this.

Hello Neil,

 

May I know who is your ISP? Please follow the below instructions to confirm the settings on the VR400 again:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2728/

 

Once changing this VR400 into a pure modem, you may need to do a PPPoE dial up on your Google Wi-Fi hub based on the connection types provided by your ISP.

Hi

 

My ISP is EE so I need to input the login details into the VR400, when I go into the settings as described there is already a connection there with my EE details, what do I do with this?

If you want to change the VR600 to a pure modem and dial-up on your Google mini hub, please tap Quick Setup and choose Other from the ISP List then select Bridge mode and finish it.

Hi Ok I tried this but i dont know where to put my ISP log in information as I want to use the VR400 as a modem, maybe i am miss-understanding what you need me to do
