Slow & Unstable Archer AX50
Bought & installed the Archer AX50-AX3000 in April (1+ month back). Experience has been very poor.
Internet throughput is worse than my 2 yrs old AC router from SingTel. Using the same machine at the same location, speeds achieved are less than half of that by the AC router. Router is already running the latest firmware. Unit also runs hot.
Did not get better throughput.
Did not get better range.
Did not get better usage experience.
All the reasons for the purchase is not met. Can i get a refund?

Hi Kevin,
I don't set any QOS in this router and i only setup the basic configuiration after i try reset it when the problem start to happen recently (1-2 days later after a restart of router then the internet connection on 5.0ghz not loading and required to restart of the router again.) just to see how is the result.
Everytime after restarted the router, then it's back to normal and after 1-2 days, it start to happen again the same issue. this model of router seems acting more and more weird.
thanks.

Feel the router, if the router is hot or lots of heat coming out, use a fan to cool the router, a regular fan or USB fan is fine.
Additionally, try to set the WiFi Transmit Power to low (if the setting is currently set to high), and see if this helps.
You can also enable the Auto-Reboot feature on the router, a regular reboot may help.

@Kevin_Z
Hi Kevin,
this router i have already started to use a laptop cooler pad below it and also surrounding area is all good air ventilation but still can feel the heat of the router as many user mentioned in previous few post. is this the common issue for this model?
Apart from that, the wifi transmission power also i tried it before in high and medium level also doesn't make much different. By the way, nobody will hope to adjust the wifi transmission to Low if we are changing to better model compare to original router given by the Telco right.
do let me know how to resolve this issue or can it be a model upgrade in this situation if it's can't be resolve.
thanks.
