No clue about firmware or hardware version, straight out of the box and worked fine, had to re set the extender and now it says that my WiFi password is in correct, any help much appreciated thanks
Hello,
Please reset the 850RE first: With the extender powered on, use a pin to press the RESET button for 1 second. The extender will reboot.
Then please watch the setup video or follow the instruction to configure it.

How to configure my Range Extender via Web GUI
Note:
Please use your home wifi password to configure the 850RE. If it shows the password is incorrect, try to forget the wireless connection on your phone or laptop and reconnect to confirm if the password is not changed.
We suggest you customize the network name for the extender. You can see it in step 3.
