Archer c20 high ping or unstable ping
Hi, I brought the archer c20 for my home a few days ago. But I'm having issues in gaming. During the games the ping shows stable but suddenly it spikes. Sometimes I can't even log into games. Also I cant use vpn. Please, is there any way I can fix it?

Hello, may I know the region version of your Archer C20 V5? Check and ensure it is running the latest version.
For the high ping or speed issue you encountered, please help verify some details and we will try to fix it together:
1. What is the internet speed you can get when you connect the computer to your modem directly? With Archer C20 connected to the modem, please connect the same computer only to the Archer C20 and verify the speed again.
2. When you are playing games with the computer connected to the Archer C20, Is it connected to the C20 by Ethernet cable or via Wi-Fi? Please also verify the wired/wireless negotiation speed of your computer/smartphone so that we can rule out whether it is the negotiation speed which affects the actual speed.

3. If it is connected wirelessly, try to modify the wireless settings on the C20, such as wireless channel and channel width.

My router is the US version
I'm using the router with my phone.
The download speed is ok. The issue occurs only when I'm playing multiplayer games.
I've tried both the 5g & 2.4g.
My phone also supports dual wifi speedup.
So I tried connecting both the bands. Still I'm getting ping spikes
I dont have a pc. The link speed shows 433mbps.

What about other online activities, are those normal? If it is only high ping when playing the multiplayer games, please try to connect 5G on your phone, and change the 5G wireless channel and channel width (80MHz).

Nothing changed. Even I'm having problem using zoom app. But the problem is worse during online games
