Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version: I don't know

Note: I don't know the hardware version

I just this product today Jun 30 2020.

 

 my repeater is next to the router it's not far, it is almost next to it in the same room. 

I can connect the repater to my computer and set it up and it is set up u only use 2.4Ghz and not 5Ghz.

 

My status tab the Internet and route to repater have an X on it

 

Internet status: disconnected

 

Above it it say "please check the router and the extender.

 

My signal indicator blinks blue then changes red for a second and it turns off.

 

I realize I has something to do with the repeater but I don't know how to fix this.

 

The instructors not mark anything on how to fix this problem neither the internet.

 

What can be the way to create for my repeater to have signal, thank you I'm advancefor all who reply and help.

Hello,

Please follow the instruction to log into the web page and tell me the current hardware and firmware version.

If the RE305 firmware is not the latest one, please update it first.

And then please reset and reconfigure it and check whether it works.

Note: You can change the authentication type and encryption type of main router's wifi as AUTO.

 

If there is still only power light on, please log into the web page of the RE305 again and show us the full screenshot of the status page. And please export the system log to us which you can find on the settings-system tools-system log and please tell me the model number of the main router.

u upgraded my firmware and it is now :

firmware Version 1.0.0 Build 20181026 Rel. 42054(6983)

Hardware Version RE305 v1.0

i also reseted and reconfigured my repeater and only get the porwer indicator, no signal

my router model/modem is - huawei hg8245h    brand - totalplay
