Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20190917 re. 75120

I bought this router one month ago and all this time I thought that I was using both dual-band, but when I looked at some wifi analyzer app, where I could not find the 5ghz channel. Though some other people 5ghz appear in the app but not mine, never. I tried different things to find out do I really have the 5ghz ,

first time - I turned off the 5ghz option in both main and guest networks. only the 2.4ghz was running. the network was ok and I was able to surf the web .

second time -  I turned off the 2ghz option in both main and guest networks. while in the app UI  it was showing that the 5Ghz is on and after a second there was no wifi. There was no network name when wanted to connect to the wifi network.

are tp-link making jokes of the customer by telling them that this dual-band while there is only one band. WTF . Did i waste my money? or is this some kind of regional lock?

WTF tp-link are u screwing ur customer. really i do not get this upset and sorry for the abusive word but this totally  a fraud or scam or whatever u want to say.

Guys is there way to unlock the 5Ghz. I am providing a screenshot.

Hi，

May I know how long have you had the Deco E4 and when did this issue start?

Did the 5ghz work fine before?

Have you tried to hardware reset the Deco and check on the Wi-Fi analyzer again?

@TP-Link Hello, it's been from starting. I've been using it for a week. Sometime it can detect 5 ghz signal but most of the time it can't. Yes I tried hard reset but it didn't work. Tried to downgrade the firmware but I was unable to downgrade the firmware. 

I have 5 mobiles in my home and two laptops. Laptops can detect 5ghz but none of the mobile can

Hi, in this way, it might be due to the 5Ghz channel issue.

The EU version of Deco is not supported band 4 yet so if the smartphones are band 4 only, they might fail to detect the 5ghz;

Nope, it's not working. none of my laptop or mobile device detects 5Ghz. It's a shame for a company like @TP-Link to advertise and sell faulty or scam products. Though I was still thinking that, in a future update, they would fix it with a firmware update. They just broke my trust and I was wrong to think that they would include 5Ghz with mesh in this price range. This makes me want to doubt their every product. Not at all happy.

Hi, 

This issue is mainly caused by that the EU version of Deco E4 did not support band 4.

so if the mobile devices are band 4 only, they would fail to detect any 5ghz signal of the Deco.

We have already released a beta firmware to fix this issue and please have a check of your message box.

Hi, I did not get feedback that band 1 was Prohibited in Vietnam;

So did all your devices fail to detect the 5ghz of the Deco M5?

Did you try to use the Wi-Fi analyzer to check the channels of the Wi-Fi network around?
