In Deco E4R, the 5 Ghz Does not work even after the 5g option is on
I bought this router one month ago and all this time I thought that I was using both dual-band, but when I looked at some wifi analyzer app, where I could not find the 5ghz channel. Though some other people 5ghz appear in the app but not mine, never. I tried different things to find out do I really have the 5ghz ,
first time - I turned off the 5ghz option in both main and guest networks. only the 2.4ghz was running. the network was ok and I was able to surf the web .
second time - I turned off the 2ghz option in both main and guest networks. while in the app UI it was showing that the 5Ghz is on and after a second there was no wifi. There was no network name when wanted to connect to the wifi network.
are tp-link making jokes of the customer by telling them that this dual-band while there is only one band. WTF . Did i waste my money? or is this some kind of regional lock?
WTF tp-link are u screwing ur customer. really i do not get this upset and sorry for the abusive word but this totally a fraud or scam or whatever u want to say.
Guys is there way to unlock the 5Ghz. I am providing a screenshot.

Hi I am using DECO e4r us version and is also facing the same issue. the device is not able to detect 5Ghz network . Will a firmware update utilize both 2.4 and 5ghz connection?
I ask this coz I need the device to publish both. Thank you

Hi,
Were all your mobile devices unable to detect 5ghz or just some of them?
For the previous firmware mentioned in this post, it is for Bangladesh uses only since only band 4(channel 149-165) is allowed.
But in the Philippines, there seems no such regulation.

Hello...
All devices are only getting 2.4g speed.
Here's my setup:
- Main Deco is connected to my ISP router via Lan 1
- Main Deco is on AP mode.
- Both 2.4 and 5g are enabled
When I connect directly to my isp router I get 400mbps up and download. But when I connect to my deco main I only get 98mbps and when I go to our second floor I only get 20mbps.
Please help, thanks!
