Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20200427 rel.80857

Hello,

Took me a while to figure this out so thought about sharing it.

Starting point : my printer would disappear from my network after a few seconds after power on.

I first blamed the latest firmware of the printer but it worked fine for a friend with Google APs.

I then blamed the OS but again, not only the same friend did not experience similar issues, but I was having the same problems on 4 different machines at home : the printer would always disappear.

The I noticed that my amplifier was not available anymore and I coulnd not use Spotifiy Connect.

The problem had to be the router. After spending one afternoon playing around, I realised that If I do not enable Smart Connect and set different SSIDs for the 2.4 and 5.0GHz bands, problems start occuring between devices connected to the 2.4 band and devices on the 5.0GHz band as well as devices physically connected to the LAN (i.e. ethernet). As if the 2.4GHz connected devices were isolated from the rest ?!

@Benoa

Hello,

It seems that we do receive some feedback from several customers that there might be an issue with the communication between the 2.4G and 5G network, but we have released a beta firmware for it, can you please give it a go and monitor the result?

@Kevin_Z thanks for the quick reply. I'm sorry but this is used in a SOHO environment and I can't afford wasting more time on this. Please let me know when it's fixed.

Hi, sorry about that.

If this is the case, please kindly wait for the new firmware release, which won't be long now.
