Model: Archer A10
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 0.9.1 0.2 v009b.0 Build 181213 Rel.55156n(5255)

After installing my new Archer A5 AC1200 router I checked the Wi Fi speed on the both channels 5 and 2.4 Ggz. Speed test shows a huge difference: 45 Mb/s on channel 2.4 and only 10 on 5 Ggz. I expected to have an opposite result as 5 Ggz is new standard allowing to have better speed. Could anybody provide any solution to fix the problem?

@vitaliy4us

Hello,

Sorry to hear the speed is not as good as expected, please help verify some details and we will try to fix it together:

1. Is the model number of the TP-Link router is Archer A5?

2. How did you test this speed via the router? Did you disconnect all the other devices from it and only leave one computer performing the test? How about the wired/wireless negotiation speed on that computer? Please verify it by referring to the instruction: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/

Note: For wired negotiation speed, it is the same; while you need right click on local area connection or ethernet.

3. Besides, you can refer to the instruction below to narrow down the issue.

What should I do if internet speed is slow when the device is connected to the TP-Link router?

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.
