Hi all,
For those whose Deco M9 Plus V2 are still running the older 1.2.x firmware, please follow the below guidance to update your firmware to the newer 1.4.0 version and you will get more features on your Deco system.
1. We have released a new firmware for the Deco M9 Plus V2, and below is the download link, which is marked Deco M9 Plus(EU)_V2_200324, or Deco M9 Plus(US) _V2_200324 on the local official website:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/deco-m9-plus/#Firmware
2. This new firmware can ONLY be updated via the Upgrade Tool, you cannot update it via web nor on the Deco app. Upgrade Tool can be downloaded from the below link and there is a guide in it tells you how to upgrade the firmware:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/deco-m9-plus/#Utility
3. If someone cannot log into the Upgrade Tool with your correct TP-Link ID and password, please refer to the below FAQ to do some basic troubleshooting:

I had the same issue. And I ended up performing the last step of the answer marked as a solution. Step 3 of the solution points to a faq. The last suggestion in the faq is to disable all virtual network adapters you may have.
I disabled all network adapters (including bluetooth, teamviewer, vpn, virtualbox) on my desktop except the (wired) adapter connected to my home network. After disabling all the controllers I ran the Deco M9 Plus Update Assitant, version 1.1., again and I could login, detect my deco's and update them.

Looks like only works on old Windows 10 versions. Try to install in a virtual machine a windows 10 version 1903 or 1909.

@TP-Link_Deco I can't find any Upgrade Tool on the page: https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/deco-m9-plus/#Utility. Actually, I can't find the tool anywhere and I need to upgrade my deco M9 plus to a more secure version. Everything with TP-link seems like a mesh!
