Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.7 Build 20200212 rel.7095(5553)

I just got a AX6000 and I had to turn it off because I needed to relocate it. When I turned it back on, it was rest to its factory settings.

I could even see it in the system logs because they date from when it was originally flashed.

Is this a common thing with recent models?

in 20 years of having wireless routers from other brands, this has never happened to me. I guess TP-Link is a cheap brand.

@r0gfrog

Hello,

From what I can see, the settings on the AX6000 have been reset to the factory when you just power it off then on, have you ever touched the RESET button on it? You may confirm again by simply power it off then on and check if all the settings on the AX6000 disappear.

If this is the case, there might be something wrong with the hardware or firmware, you may reset it by pressing the RESET button and reconfigure it from scratch. Contact the reseller to replace it if still the same.

Thanks.

@Kevin_Z

The reset button is recessed in a hole (as on all routers since the dawn of time) so I didn't touch it, neither inadvertently nor intentionally.

I just powered off the unit using the power button and unplugged it.

Hello,

Have you tried to simply power it off then on again and check if all the settings on the AX6000 disappear? As I mentioned, if this always happens when the router is off then on, there might be a hardware issue, so it is suggested to contact your reseller to replace it.

If there is an issue with the replacement, you may need to contact the local tech support team to check the warranty:

Good day.
