Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5

I just installed a x60 and bought a TL-SG108 to created a star network for a future backhaul setup. Everything is fine using wireless but I cannot get my wired security camera dvr online when I need to see it. Sometimes it works but most of the time the Deco app says that is is offline, even though it is hooked up using the ethernet cable into one of the empty ports on the TP Link switch. I have a powerline adapter as well and it seems to be working just fine on the switch. It's just the SWANN Security camera DVR. I tried port forwarding, static IP and DHCP....again it works like 5% of the time. When I do get it working I can see the cameras for awhile then if I get out of the SWANN app and try a few mins later the Deco App says the SWANN DVR is offline and I can't use my cameras. Is the Switch bad and/or the Deco x60. These are all brand new hardware.

@3275Banez

Hello, please confirm below and we can do some troubleshooting first.

1. What is the current network diagram? Are there 3 Deco X60 units in the same mesh network and how are they connected?

2. What is the LED status of the Deco X60 when the SWANN DVR is offline? How do you make it back to work after that?

3. Try to connect this SWANN DVR to the main Deco X60 directly and confirm if there is still an issue.

4. Since all other devices are connected fine to the Deco network, it is suggested to contact the SWANN DVR support to seek some help or suggestions.

Good day.

@TP-Link_Deco

Modem - X60 - TP Link Switch - Swann DVR & Powerline Adapter

All the Deco x60 units are all on thesame mesh network.

There isn't an issue with the DVR connected to the main Deco unit.

I have fooled around and I believe it's the TP-Link switch. I have replaced it a different company's

switch and everything is working. I would like to stick with TP-Link, going to return this one and get

another. If it continues then maybe the TP-Link Switch TL-SG108 doesn't do well with the x60s

Thanks,

Earl

@3275Banez

Hi, thanks for the update.

If you contact the reseller to replace the current SG108 first and monitor again.

BTW, is there any other security camera or DVR in this network? Except for this Swann DVR, are all the other devices are working fine? May I have the model number of this Swann DVR?

Thanks.
