Hi,

I just bought the TP-Link TL-WR841N N300 WLAN Router and want to use it as an Access Point. However I bought a Cat6 Lan Kabel that is 100 meters long. With this cable the TP-Link doesn't recognize the Kabel or main Router. Can anybody help me? With the standard cable the internet works. The cable itself works. I tested it between the main router and my pc.

@candios

Hello,

If the WR841N cannot recognize the main router with this 100m Cat6 cable, I'm afraid you need to use a shorter one.

Is this PC that far away from the main router? Are they in the same building or in different buildings? Try to change the WR841N into Router mode and confirm if it can still get an IP address from the main router.

Good day.
