Archer A9(EU)- Wireless range dropped after the last update
Hello,
After the last update (back in March) the WI-FI performance kind of dropped, especially in terms of range/coverage on both 2.4 and 5 bands
I see that the US version got an April update that "improves wireless experience".
Any such plans for the EU firmware?
Cheers

So I'm guessing that support for the Archer A9 is kind of over after a couple of updates.
The A series is truly the Abandoned series.
BTW.It keeps dropping and reconnecting 2.4ghz devices quite often.

Hello, apologies for the super late reply.
Please confirm the below details, and we will try to check if there is an issue:
1. Are both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless connection unstable? Is the Wi-Fi LED on the router is lit up when you lose the connection? How did you recover the connection?
2. You can login to the web UI and change some wireless settings to give it a go.
Note: For the 2.4GHz wireless channel, 1/6/11 is recommended, and for channel width you can use 20MHz; For the 5Ghz channel, you can try 36/40/44/48, channel width you can use 40MHz, then reboot the router and reconnect to the wireless to confirm.
3. Have you tried to reset then reconfigure the A9? Give it a go.
4. How many devices are connected to the A9 in total, wired, and wirelessly? Are they get disconnected at the same time?

All LEDs stay green, just drops some devices from the wifi network for 30-40 seconds and auto reconnects them after .
Seems to be happening on both the 2.4 and 5Ghz bands.

-Is set-up in a house with no "neighbors" in a 50m2 radius.
Seriously doubt the issue is related to the channel (auto on both bands) or channel width.
3. Have you tried to reset then reconfigure the A9?
-Yes but didn't make any difference.
4. How many devices are connected to the A9 in total, wired, and wirelessly? Are they get disconnected at the same time?
-The number varies from 7 to 14 devices in total.
5-8devices on 2.4Ghz,3-5devices on 5Ghz,1 wired.
No,they don't seem to get disconnected at the same time

Thank you for the response...
The previous version had other issues like the one described HERE .
I will probably be getting a new device next year but the initial question was if the support for a "2019 model" like the Archer A9-v6 is already terminated after just a couple of updates?
The current firmware has a January 2020 build number date.

I see. It is suggested to try to modify the wireless settings as mentioned previously, and confirm if it will improve the current situation.
As for the new firmware, you may need to keep an eye on the official website, as we don't have the ETA yet.
