Model: TL-WR941HP
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 191125

Hello.

I managed to configure this router WiFi (Channel, SSID, PW, etc.), then disable DHCP, change admin PW for Web Gui Management.

I changed time NTP servers, and change LAN IP from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.77.7.

Then changed my PC IP to DHCP, connect to main router Cisco with IP range 192.168.77.XXX, and connect TPLink WR941HP too. At this point i'm still able to access web gui at 192.168.77.7 IP, but then i change operation modem from Wireless Router to Access Point, and i lost access to Web GUI.

I tried differents secuences of input the same configuration, but at the point changing operation mode to AP, i lost access to web gui all the times.

The strange thing is that WR941HP in fact acts as AP and y can connect devices to it, with internet service too.

what can i do?

sorry about my poor english!sad

@BrainOverflow

Hello,

May I know your detailed network topology and the IP address as well as the gateway settings in the network?

Does the Cisco router connect to the LAN port of the WR941HP? When you change the WR941HP to AP mode and the computer connects to it, what is the IP address and gateway on that computer?

BTW, you may refer to the below instructions to configure the WR941HP to an AP:

@Kevin_Z Thanks for your replay.

Here is the requested data.

The Cisco router has DNS enabled, GW is 192.168.77.1/255.255.255.0. Reseved address out of DNS ar 192.168.77.2 to 10.

The Cisco router connects to LAN1 of WR941HP.

When I change operation mode of WR941HP to AP, previously I changed LAN config of device to 192.168.77.7/255.255.255.0.

The computer connects to Cisco router with IP 192.168.77.106/255.255.255.0, GW 192.168.77.1.

I saw that instructions you share now, but not refer to WR941HP, because this device has a special configuration to set operation mode to AP. In the recent past i configured others TPLink WiFi routers that does not have an special page or option to change operation mode, for those models applies these instructions, but not for 941HP.

Again, thnaks for your interest.

Have a nice day,
