Today I bought the TP LINK ranger extender TP-Link RE305 because I needed to extend my 2.4Ghz & Convert it to 5ghz band wireless router connection to my bedroom.

I have a that is support Wifi 5Ghz

My smartphone can recognize the 5ghz band from other router but it can't recognize the 5ghz band of the extender.

May I know the model number of your main router and is it 2.4ghz only?

Except for your smartphone, how about other mobile devices, and are they able to detect the 5ghz of the RE305?

And what is the model and operating system of your smartphone?
