Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.2.0 0.9.1 v0074.0 Build 170504 Rel.68210n

Hello,

Could someone please help me in configuring my router to reject all incomming connections initiated by a host on the internet, by specifying it's source IP. Thanks a lot in advance

@guy_c

Good Day.

Thank you very much for your kind reply.

I am really sorry that Archer VR600 does not support this feature yet.

If possible, you could try to use the VPN connection, such as OpenVPN, IPsec VPN to access the LAN server, instead of using the port forwarding.

Thank you very much.

Good day.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Are you trying to block a specific public IP address from accessing the router’s internal network?

May I know why do you want to do that?

Normally, if you did not enable the remote management on the modem or open any ports for the internal clients, all the WAN access would be blocked.

Thank you very much,

@Sunshine

Thank you very much for your time. I have a server on port p. An offending host on the Internet is trying to enter the server and succeeds because it does a port scanning and eventually hits port p. Usually, such hosts are listed in the abuseipdb site because they run a software trying to make as much damage in a minimal time, for the fun. My server reports such attaks and i need to feed the offending IP so that inbound connections with this source IP are being blocked at the router's whatever the port.

Thanks again
