Hi,

I own an AX11000 and I would like to use an antenna extension cable. What kind of jack/plug is used with the Archer AX11000?

Hello,

There are 8× detachable high-performance antennas on the AX11000 and it is not suggested to change only one antenna on it, which may not help to improve your signal.

If the signal strength is not good enough, you may try to optimize the wireless settings on it first:

Thanks. But that does not answer my question. Aren't there any publisched specifications of the AX11000 informing on the Jack used?

Would you happen to know what's on the board side of the pigtail? Mine got dropped and it broke the outer ring on the pigtail plug. Happy it didn't break the antenna, but I gotta find the right pigtail for it now. Any ideas how long it may be or where I could find a replacement? Thanks! 😁

@Alcane

I honestly don't know that. The board side of the pigtail/antenna seems to be a female type, but it is built-in on the router, I don't think you can replace it by yourself.

I would suggest you contact the local tech support to check if the replacement or warranty could cover this kind of break.

@Kevin_Z One thing I've come to know after years of being a computer tech: everything is fixable/replaceable... if you have the right tools. wink I don't own a rework station so soldered on chips & individual components I cannot do. However, taking apart computers, laptops, and other electronics is what I'm good at. I did a little extra searching and I was surprised to find public pictures of this thing taken apart on the FCC's website. It keeps saying this is an illegal link so just add "fccid(dot)io" without the spaces to the beginning of the following string and add "/" before each line:

Internal-Photos

Under the internal photos you can see that they're using 4" to 5" pigtails. The only thing I need to figure out now is the size of the plug on the circuit board side as well as which port type is on the antenna side. It's a bit of an odd ball being a smoothbore instead of threaded like most, but I'll post back if I find anything in particular. ^_^
