The current firmware for the C80 doesn't support VPN function, and we have already forwarded it to the related department. However, we cannot guarantee now whether the VPN feature will be added on the current C80 hardware, as it will depend on the chip or memory, or other hardware limitation, but we don't know much more.  

 

If you do need this VPN feature urgently, it is suggested to contact the reseller to check if they can replace it with a model that already support it.

@Drtic Hey he back with the same news knows nothing 2yr later!! it to late to return the router to vender.

@Joe77 🤣 2021 is about to end. Let's see if it will arrive in 2021 as Kevin Z said. If not, it should arrive in 2022.

@Drtic So you are guilty of false advertisement.  I searched for a router supporting VPN while oversea with the military and the AC1900 was at the top of the list.  Have limited options in-country with out ordering from the states.  A previous reply indicated an update in 2021, this is now the end of the year.  Any closer to the VPN update.

Waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting..... Im losing hope and i want to get rid of this current router and find another brand that is more helpful with assisting and guiding customers to the proper resources. Im in the same boat as many other people and am waiting for nothing. Do better next time tplink.

Hello, I bought this model today. No client VPN. I had thought that if because announced as YES but NO in reality. Is it possible to send this model directly to you tp-link so that you provide a mock model with the client VPN. Thank you

Bonjour, j'ai acheté aujourd'hui ce modèle. Pas de client VPN. J'avais cru que si car s'annonçait comme OUI mais NON en réalité. Est-il possible de renvoyer directement ce modèle chez vous tp-link afin que vous fournissiez un modèle simulaire avec le client VPN. Merci

Hallo, ich habe mir heute dieses Modell gekauft. Kein Client-VPN. Ich hatte gedacht, dass wenn da ja angesagt aber in Wirklichkeit NEIN ist. Ist es möglich, dieses Modell direkt an Ihren tp-link zu senden, damit Sie ein Scheinmodell mit dem Client-VPN bereitstellen. Danke.
