Model: Deco S4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.4.2 Build 20200727 Rel. 43135

I have followed the instructions for port forwarding, but I am unable to host a gaming server that listens for connections using the UDP protocol. I was successful when trying with TCP, but I need UDP. The UDP port is always closed when scanning to check.

My Windows 10 software firewall and anti-virus have been disabled.

Unfortunately, the usual DMZ workaround is not currently a Deco option.

This simple task is beyond frustrsting. I have spent several hours researching with no results. This is a show stopper if I can't host a simple gaming server.

Please advise.

Please advise.

Hi,

May I know what kind of software or application that you use to test the TCP/UDP port is open or not? What if you run that software in the Deco LAN network, will that UDP port show open or not?

BTW, what is the detailed network layout?

Thanks.

@TP-Link_Deco

I am using this website to test: yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

It reports closed when using UDP and open when using TCP on my hosted server.

It's an external website, so I can't run it within the lan.  Is there a recommended free software to try?
