Model: Archer AX10
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 20200706 Rel. 8066(5553)

My laptop can't connect to the 5G wifi in some rooms of the house. It comes up on my wifi list and shows full reception, but when I try to connect, it just says no internet connection and automatically connects me to the 2.4G. But when I go into some other rooms, it connects no problem. Has anyone came across this problem? Is there a solution?

@Sukirin94

Do you mean in those rooms the 5GHz signal is full but you cannot connect to it? Is the Smart Connect enabled on the AX10? If yes, you may try to disable it and create a different 5GHz network name, then try to connect to the 5GHz again.

If you can connect to the 5GHz and it still shows no internet connection, please check if the device can obtain a valid IP address from the AX10 and try to ping the gateway and 8.8.8.8 as below:

If you cannot connect to the 5GHz in those rooms, try to modify the 5GHz wireless settings, such as changing channel width to 80MHz and channel to 36/40/44, then confirm again.

May it help.

@Kevin_Z Hi. When i come out of this specific room i can connect to the 5g network absolutely fine. And as soon as I go back into it the connection breaks out.
