Archer VR2100 - Randomly reboots several times a day.
Hi,
Had the Arccher Vr2100 a few eeks now and it reboots itself several times during a 24hr period.
Firmware up to date and cannot see and kind of schedules in the settings that would reboot it.
The logs do not show anything obvious.
Do i have a faulty device?

The router had over 10000 errors but since it last rebooted it,s showing none as you can see.
I,m about 100yds from the cabinet. The router is usually stable for 3 days until it crashes.
Firmware Version:1.4.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 210106 Rel.33752n

There is a later beta firmware to try dated 4th Feb 2021. However, I found it didn't help much but you can try it. The link is available on the 1st page of this discussion. Regards

I,ll stick with this firmware for now but if the crashing & WIFI dropping out issues do not get fixed by TP-Link then IMO they should do a product recall on this router as it,s not fit for purpose at the moment.

Right Folks, an update after 8 days running the latest Beta ( Build 210204 ) .
Firstly, when the router is not rebooting its stable and the Wifi Is excellent.
However in the 8 days since uploading the latest firmware It has rebooted 4 times, the first reboot after 3 days, the second reboot after another 3 days and then a reboot each of the last 2 days.
I am not experiencing lots of errors on the DSL Line and the internet connection is stable and being used right up until the point it reboots. I have no dhcp issues as has previously been mentioned and the router is not running hot, its a near perfect router ---- apart from the reboots..
I do hope TP-Link can fix this, the latest Beta Firmware appears slightly more reliable but still not fixed.
If there is any newer Beta firmware to try I am happy to test.
Thanks

So, it has been 8 1/2 hours uninterrupted uptime since the firmware upgrade (to 4/2/21), which is the longest we've had without a reboot since setting up the router. So far, so good. Will give another update in a few days.

@Spike1 well, we've had two reboots since last night's post :(
As others are reporting, when connected the wifi is excellent and connection seems stable, no dropped packets etc. But then it randomly reboots. It's a pain.

Well the router rebooted last night
Come on TP-Link sort this out. Your silence is deafening.
This router should never have been released with these problems!

Agreed. This ongoing issue is critical and it can only harm TP-Link's reputation. I would be too scared to buy another product from them now. I've lost a lot of time with this product that I will never get back

I'm having this issue with rebooting too. It's only just started today, but rebooted about 5 times and whilst I've been on work conference calls. Very annoying!!! Anyway, stumbled across this post as a result and it seems I'm not the only one having issues.
I'm on the latest release firmware. I see a link was posted to some beta firmware. Has this worked to resolve the problem for anyone?
