Archer VR2100 - Randomly reboots several times a day.
Hi,
Had the Arccher Vr2100 a few eeks now and it reboots itself several times during a 24hr period.
Firmware up to date and cannot see and kind of schedules in the settings that would reboot it.
The logs do not show anything obvious.
Do i have a faulty device?

Thanks for the beta but i can't understand how can it cause CRC errors.

@naz_eg There appear to be two seperate beta releases, one for the CRC errors and another for the random reboots. I am not suffering from CRC errors but am getting regular reboots (even when running the unit in wireless route mode and using my BT router as a modem).
I have applied the 210303 firmware today but already suffered a reboot so it does not appear to have fixed the issue..
Cheers

They think so "modem crashing" and CRC errors are two different problems. We will see.
Now it is short time to say about result. We will see about modem crash.
Only what I met today:
speed(and i could not finish it, 0 upload):
and after manual restart modem:
But it is still positive that TPLINK is communicating. We will see. Now i'm trying contact ISP for DSLAM model information. It's really weird.
(And weird is DSL statitics before restart and after restart. Numbers are not much different)
Now, 3 hours uptime, huge CRC but speed is stable:

Well, I've updated to this 03-03-21 version - lets see what difference it makes. The 22-02 was not really any better than the 04-02 and actually caused a lot of dropped packets. I'd had an email from TP-Link support, but after sending back a reply have had nothing since. No notification about today's release either.

Okey I can't see restart now because internet is dropping to 0,1Mbits and I have to restart manually. :) CRC classic. Nice workaround.
I tried for example this:
Disconnect/Connect
Absolute nothing. Speed still 0.1Mbits. :)
My ISP switched DSL profile to without SRA and any "transmitter" (or something else). Nothing still same.
What help? Manually RESTART modem. After restart? Magic. Again full speed for some time.
We will do check DSL line with provider engineers tomorow. It's last chance for TPLINK. If there is no problem in DSL line then i will ask for full refund and i will try contact Czech Trade Inspection Authority about this defective product + ISP. Sorry TPLINK.
I will be happy if there is a problem in the DSL line. Last chance.

We've been running 1.5.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 210303 for 3 or 4 days now. We're still experiencing 2 or three random reboots per day. This router really doesn't seem to be fit for purpose. It disappointing given the cost.

Same here reboots all the time with the 03/03 firmware. Nothings changed with every firmware TP-Link send out.
Technical support said to me that they won,t refund or recall the router. They just offered me a replacement or return it to where I purchased it from.
Terrible way to treat us!

See CRC. I think it is record value. Speedcheck for downstream show: 0,1Mbits (packet loss about 25% by ping) :P ISP engineer should come about 1 hours. He will be happy to see it.

@Zajic Wow, that is a lot of CRC errors. I have just checked mine on the Fritz and I am having about 1 error every 7 minutes or so. And no crashes or reboots at all !! Let us know what the ISP engineer thinks. Don't tell him (or her) about the Mediatek modem chipset !!
