Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.4.7

Ever since the update two weeks ago I've noticed that my internet has started cutting out intermittently.

The lights go red on all 3 decos (including the main one connected to the SuperHub 3), and then within 2 minutes it's all back up and running again.

I've had the units installed for 3-4 months now and this is the first time I've had issues like this.

Not sure if you are still having issues, but mine appears to have resolved itself. I switched back to using my Superhub 3.0 for a few days to test if it was related to that rather than the Deco - the SH3 worked fine so I knew this wasn’t the issue. Once I knew it wasn’t the SH3 causing issues I decided to reconnect the Deco: first with the SH3 in router mode (I.e. both were giving out WiFi) and then by switching to modem mode only on the SH3. It’s only day 2 but I’ve not had any random loss of connection so far so fingers crossed. Essentially...if you haven’t done so already, try just setting it up from scratch.

@kiliclat - Thanks! Do TP-Link support respond quite quickly here in your experience?

@Sid14

They usually reply. They will ask you for your device model, p/n, network topology, colour of the leds, they will ask you to do some basic testing that you have done by yourself for sure and nothing will happen afterwards...

Thanks, that's very useful to know. If the issue persists and they haven't responded / resolved it by the end of the month I will go and return it for a refund and buy something else.

@Sid14 Having the same issues here, and haven't seen a proper cause and fix identified by TP-Link. I am thinking about returning the devices and go for a different brand if the issue persists.

@bartdej

Hello, thanks for reaching out.

As you can see from this thread, Sid14's issue was resolved by switching his SuperHub3 to modem only mode and reconfigure the Deco system, have you given that a go?

If that doesn't help, please provide more details about the issue you actually encounter and how are the Deco units connected to the network, then we will try to figure it out.
