Model: RE200
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.6 Build 20200708 Rel. 47302

Hello,

Due to high speed network requirement, I purchased a new router Archer A6 v2.0 (1.1.6 Build 20200422 rel.51661(5553). However, 5GHZ is unable to detect 149 and higher channels and thus unable to connect to 5GHz band.

Both are compatible with 802.11 b/g/n and 802.11ac Wi-Fi devices.

Please let me know if this case be resolved by manual firmware upgrade?

Regards,
Rajan

@rajgupta

Good day.

May I know where are you located?

And have you checked the region code on the product label, such as Archer A6(US) or A6(EU) and how about the RE200?

Have you tried to use the channel 36/40/44/48 on Archer A6 to see if RE200 could detect the 5ghz signal of the router?

Thank you very much.

@Solla-topee

Thank you for your reply.

I am based out in india. I checked both A6 and RE200 Amazon and Packaging details, but couldn't find if it is US or EU.

Channel 48 and below are able to detect. I am wondering why it is not able to detect higher channel if both are compatible with 802.11 b/g/n and 802.11ac Wi-Fi devices? And if these costly devices not upto the real standard they what is the use and why not to mention on the product while selling?

May it requires a manual firmware upgrade?
