How is it possible that on 5ghz network, (when connected to ac1200 wi-fi range extender) smartphone with speed test have 40 Mbps download, but on UTP cable only 10 Mbps download and with usb wi fi only 20 Mbps (2.4 ghz), ok for usb wi fi, but for utp cable, why it is not 40 Mbps on utp cable like smarpthone on 5ghz??

@keewee23

good day.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Since AC1200 is not the model number, can you see any model like RE305, re200 on the back label?

Could you please check the Ethernet link speed on the laptop, such as https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2899/ ?

Do you have one more wired device that we could run a comparison test?

Thank you very much.

Hi, Model is RE305, Ethernet link speed on the computer with utp cable is 100 Mbps, but speed test says 20-25 Mbps, but smartphone on 5 ghz have 40 Mbps download with speed test, this is weird on so many levels, why is utp cable slower than 5ghz?
