Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I want to install an M9 with 3 Mesh access points. Because number 3 is far away in the garden at 20 meters I also want to equip it with a UTP cable for the best result. Is that not a problem: 2x wired and 1x mesh?

Thank you in advance,

@Carboy

Hello,

There won't be an issue if you wire one or two Deco node to the other in the mesh network, it will work. Just ensure the main Deco is wired to a modem or an internet port on the wall to get internet access.

For more details, please refer to the below FAQ:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1432/

What we concern is the 20 meters distance, you need to ensure there is a good signal in the location of the 3rd unit, otherwise, it may have difficulty to connect to the others.

Good days.
