Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 190905 Rel.42436n

Good night, I have the TL-WR820N router, with the version below

Hardware Version: WR820N 1.0 00000000

Firmware version: 1.0.2 Build 190905 Rel.42436n

And on the website there is the version TL-WR820N (BR) _V1_190905 09-09-2019 I would like to know if this version is more recent than the one I have above.

 

NOTE: I want to update the firmware to see if the wifi stabilizes, because I am having a low connection via wifi and when I use the internet cable cabling is much better.

Also, the light on the WAN router is constantly orange instead of green. Thank you very much in advance.

 

I tried to update to version TL-WR820N (BR) _V1_190905 09-09-2019 and I got the error "could not update"

Hi, sorry about that.

 

Have you unzipped the file after downloading it from the local website? Please ensure it is unzipped and then try to upload it again as per the below instructions:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1388/

 

As I mentioned already, you are suggested to change the wireless settings on your WR820N if the wireless performance is not good:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2170/

May I know the region version of your WR820N? Please show me the bottom label and you may cover its MAC address and password for any security concerns, thanks.

 

As for the wireless slow speed issue, it is suggested to change the wireless basic settings on the WR820N and see if it helps:
