Hello,

I just had to change my home router and the engineer installed the TL-WR850N. My problem is I want to connect this to my TP-Link AC750 wifi extender via Tether, but they don't seem to be compatible. I cannot see any firmware updates available (probably because it's a custom model.) Perhaps I'm wishful thinking, but is there a firmware update that adds this support? I cannot understand why they wouldn't work together - come on TP-Link!

Hello, if the router is not in the Tether compatibility list, which means it is currently not supported by the Tether app. Below is the Tether Compatibility List:

However, you can still connect it to the TP-Link range extender via its web interface even though it isn't supported by Tether. Below is the guide to add the range extender to the wireless network:
