Model: Archer VR400
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Firmware Version:0.1.0 0.9.1 v0070.0 Build 160613 Rel.40404n

I see there are firmware updates for the v2 hardware but nothing for the v1 hardware. Some of the updates are recent and address security issues.

Are these updates 'not applicable' / 'not yet been implemented' / 'unable to be implemented' to the v1 hardware?

Thanks in advance.

@steviejay

Hi, thank you very much for your kind reply.

We did not get any security feedback about VR400 V1, and this model has been discontinued for quite a long time;

So there has been no new firmware released yet.

And the firmware of V2 could not be used on the V1;

Did you have any specific problem on the version V1, or why do you want to update the firmware?

Thank you very much.

This firmware has enhanced the performance and it's recommended to upgrade to this firmware for better experience.

Published Date: 2017-07-19 Language: Multi-language File Size: 14.24 MB

Modifications and Bug Fixes:

New Features/Enhancement
1.Improved the functions of IPv6
2.Improved the compatibility,security and stability
Bug Fixed
1.Fixed the bug that information of ISP displays in Tether incompletely
2.Fixed the Dirty Cow security vulnerability.

Pretty much any of the above listed for the v2 sounds good! However, ISP info shows correctly.

VDSL modem is slightly slower than BTBusinessSmartHub (replaced for DNS issues).

2.4GHz wireless band has occasional dropout for BOSE Soundtouch 10, disabling the band while the Soundtouch connects to 5GHz is a workaround (signal is good on both networks but 2.4GHz still has dropout, local network analysis shows no nearby networks at sufficient power or on same (discrete) frequency, device is away from EM sources)
