Archer A6 2.4ghz band lost internet access
Recently purchased Archer A6 Router running the latest firmware. Everyday the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I tried changing the channel with and wireless channel but none of it works.
Hoping for your help.
Thanks.

@Kevin_Z Hi, I am not talking about internet that is problematic, I understand if modem is not online, there is no internet traffic possible.
Problem is that at that time when internet was down, Archer A6 lost all 2.4 ghz devices from HIS WiFi network... I believe this should never happen...

It has smart connect turned on. Also, if i turn it off and connect to either 2.4 gh. Or 5gh, it still doesn't work.
Also the condition is the same with every device.

After using the latest 1.3.6 beta firmware (ArcherA6v2_eu-up-ver1-3-6-P1[20201030-rel60104].bin) for more than 2 weeks it has been a much better experience with the router.
The 2.4G dropped only one time on the second day, when we had major problems with our internet provider.
After that for now it has been very good, much better than the latest official version of firmware I have been running before.
I also couldn’t gather additional data as the problem hasn’t appeared yet again.
If i will see it again I will send you all the requested data.
Thank you for now.

@Kevin_Z Still running fine for another 2 weeks
Is there going to be a stable release of firmware with this fix?

@Kevin_Z The 2.4G drop is with this beta version of firmware up to now totally eliminated.
But I also had occasional internet access problem that my Mac Mini was randomly cut out from internet access, local access was still working fine.
All other devices worked fine at that time (cable, 2.4G and 5G).
It was the ICMP-FLOOD attack filtering that triggered and put my device on the blocked list...
There is no other notifications visible elsewhere unless you check Security->Settings page before router restart.
I had ICMP-FLOOD attack filtering on the low setting and my Mac Mini was getting blocked internet access on rare occasions totally randomly...
After removing my device from the blocked list everything started working back normally!
After more than half a year of problems nobody thought of that...myself included...
But I still needed the latest beta version for Archer A6 version which fixed the 2.4G drop issue.

Hi, I have the same issue with my Archer A6 V2 US Version. I need to access everyday to admin webpage, adjust 2.4 channel and click save in order to restablish internet connection with all devices connected to this band.
This problem started when I updated my device to latest firmware available. I have tried with all combination of possible configurations, settings on: Auto/801.11 n only mode, Auto/1/6/11 for channels, Auto/20Mhz/40Mhz for Channel Width. Nothing seems to work and I have troubles with my family because of lack of connection precisly when virtual school happens.
Usually are connected:
- Bose SoundTouch
- 1~2 smartphones
- 1 PC that doesn't have 5 Ghz wifi adapter
I identify internet connection failure because my Bose starts to blink on WiFi led indicator.
I have the latest firmware available on TP-Link webpage, and if I click on Firmware Upgrade it says it has the latest version.
Thank you for your help.
Best,
Nelson
