Model: Deco X20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 20200630 Rel. 73505

I currently have the X20 v1.2  configured as access points on my network. I have the three X20's connected via wired CAT6 through a 5 port switch, then connected to a separate NIC on my pfSense network which is used to manage the network.The network has the usual WAN, LAN, and OPT1 which is my wireless access point. I'm not seeing anything in regards to WPA3 or WiFi 6 when I log into the Deco X20's? My question, is this available when configured as an "Access Point"? I know there is some options not available, but WPA3 and WiFi 6 should be working? So am I missing something, or is this normal?

@Kestrel-Geek

Hello, it is suggested to refer to the below FAQ (at the very last part) to enable the WPA3 on your Deco X20:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2943/

As for Wi-Fi 6, do you refer to 160MHz or something else? Deco X20 is advertised as 1200 Mb/s @5GHz band, which means it can support up to 80MHz channel width, not 160MHz.

For more specs, please refer to the official website:

https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/deco/deco-x20/#specifications

Good days.

@TP-Link_Deco

Thanks for the reply, I was able to find the WPA3 switch, but I'm a bit confused about the WiFi 6. I currently see 2.4GHz & 5GHz under the Wi-Fi Settings. The advertising for the Deco x20 shows it capable of 6 GHz:

https://www.tp-link.com/ca/home-networking/deco/deco-x20/

So what you're saying is the Deco x20 can only do 5GHz? or possibly I'm missing something.

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Kane

Hello, sorry to make you confused.

Deco X20 does support 802.11ax (which we call Wi-Fi 6) for both 5GHz and 2.4GHz, and it supports up to 80MHz for the 5GHz and 40MHz for 2.4GHz, that means you can get up to 1200Mbps @5GHz and 574 Mbps @2.4GHz.
