Model: RE450  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20191209 Rel. 52814

I have an extender model RE455 (NOT RE450 as set on the "Model" field, sorry RE4555 is not listed on the dropdown list). The wifi connection between extender and my main Access Point is good.

 

The DHCP server is on my main Access Point. When Clients try to connect to the Extender using WiFi, my DHCP server sends the DHCP configuration, but the clients does not receive it. It seems that the extender is dropping the DHCP packages.

 

For the moment the workaround for me is to enable the DHCP server also on the extender, but this is not good for me.

What is the model number of your main access point?

Could you please help us check the IP address and gateway of a device when it is connected to the RE450?

By the way, did it happen all the time or just randomly?

The Main AP is a Mikrotik hAP ac2 with software version 6.47.4.

On the LOG of the main AP there is this message about DHCP: "defconf offering lease 172.16.255.90 for BC:8C:CD:78:8D:CF to 3C:84:6A:3B:58:78 without success"

 

IPv6 is disabled on main AP, just IPv4 is enabled.

 

The problem happens with all devices (tested with Mobile, Tablet and Windows Laptop).
