I have a mesh WiFi network using 1 master unit and 2 slaves, all HC220-G1.
Can I connect one of the slave units using an Ethernet cable, while maintaining the common SSID feature?

May I know where are you located and did you get this mesh router from the internet service provider?
Since this model is customized for a local service provider and the firmware is not the same as the common model, it would be highly appreciated that you could have a check with the provider;
