Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20200716 rel.84595(4555)

Hi There,

I have just moved from Virgin Media to NowTV Fibre not realising I was going to be faced with a MER / Option 61 nightmare to navigate. I had hoped to use my NowTV router in Modem only mode and simply connect it to my Archer AX11000, however Modem only mode on the NowTV router is not an option. I have therefore purchased a TP-Link Archer VR2100 which I have set-up in Bridge mode following the instructions below...

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/2728/

I have then tried to connect my Archer VR2100 to my Archer AX11000 via an Ethernet cable but I'm not able to get an internet connection through by AX11000.

Could someone please confirm:

(1) that the set-up shown in the link above is correct for the Archer VR2100,

(2) exactly what settings I need to apply to my Archer AX11000 to get a connection from NowTV/Sky Fibre, and

(3) exactly which ports I should connect the Ethernet cable into both the AX11000 and the VR2100.

If anyone can help out here I will be eternally grateful

@GeeLR

Hello, sorry to answer you late.

Actually, only when the VR2100 works in router mode can it connect to the Now TV Fiber with the required MER / Option 61. If you change it into bridge mode, then it will require the AX1000, which works as the router, to support that, while obviously the AX11000 doesn't support it and that is the reason why you purchased the VR2100.

Sorry about all the inconvenience caused by this. It is suggested to contact the reseller and see if you can return it if it is will within the return window.

Have you tried to put the VR2100 into Wi-fi Router mode instead of bridge? You do this in the Advance Settings area. I have my VR2100 set up in this mode with my Sky modem.
