Need to connect new router to extender

I need to connect my new virgin media hub 3 to my Wi-fi extender but not able to do that? Do I need to reconfigure or something? Thanks

May I know the model number of your range extender?
Did you also have a different network name and password for the new router?
If yes, you might need to reset the extender by holding the reset pinhole for 10s and set it up from the beginning.
