I want to setup my Deco M4 in a way that it creates 2 (or 3) private and seperate networks. Can I establish this by connecting each Deco unit in router mode directly to the central modem/router? Should this be wired or can it be done wireless. Each network should have a different ssid and password setting so that there is no connection between the networks. Or would it be a better solution to set the Deco units in Access Point mode and connect a router after each Deco unit to create a private network?

I think you can do this in the app by selecting your first network at the top of the app and from the dropdown select something like "create a new network". I haven't tried it for myself though...

Hello,

 

As Ed-win suggested, you can create different Deco networks by connecting each of them to the front-end modem router directly with cables and configure them into router mode, all the Deco networks will be independent. Below is the setup instruction you may refer to:
