Hello,

 

I just got a deco x20 and the guest wifi is not working properly or i'm doing something wrong.

 

After i activate the guest wifi i can connect to it no problem. But I'm still able to access all the devices connected to main network. This defeats the purpose of the guest wifi.

 

Currently I have the decos in AP mode because that how I want to use them. Thinking that might be the issue i changed to router mode. But the result was just the same, and i really dont want to use router mode because how I have them connected to my ISP router.

 

Firmware was just updated. Is it because it's version V1? Will it work on V2? If so I need to return this but I only have a few days to do so.

 

Please advise...

I see this on the X60s as well. I know that the Deco M5 did not originally have guest wifi isolation, until about 3 firmware upgrades ago. I would like to second this request and suggest any wireless device that has the option for guest wifi should be isolated from the primary SSID, otherwise as mentioned above it would be pointless to have if it's not isolated.

Hi, did you set up the Deco X60 as the wireless router mode or access point mode?

if it is on the access point mode, your current firmware 1.2.6 is not supported guest network isolation, and please try to update the firmware  to be the following one:

Deco X60-1.5.0 build 20210121

Currently, the firmware upgrade is applied in sequence to the correct devices during the release process so that not all the users would be able to receive the notification in the first place;

no firmware available to fix this issue for deco x20?

Hi, I can see that your current firmware is Deco X20_V1_1.5.0_210121 and it is already supported guest network isolation with the main network;

Modifications and Bug fixes: 
1. Added "allow ping on WAN" switch in Deco app.
2. Added "service name" and "access name" options when using PPPoE WAN connection.
3. Added Network Optimization feature.
4. Added owner account transfer feature.
5. Supported manually selecting IPTV port on satellite Deco.
6. Supported manually adding sites into Antivirus white list.
7. Added UPNP switch in Deco app.
8. Added guest network isolation switch in Access Point Mode.
9. Fixed the Bug that clients might not be able to get IP addresses when there are several address reservation entries in Deco app.
10. Fixed the problem that Zoom applications are banned by the Pay-to-Surf category under Parental Control.
11. Improved compatibility and stability.
