Hello,

 

Can you please help to update the firmware version of this TP Link Wi-Fi extender so that it supports the Band 4 WiFi Channels?

I have got an Airtel XStream Fibre connection, with a Nokia ONT router (model - G-2425G-A).

The Wi-Fi channel being used for 5GHz is 149, which Airtel has said cannot be changed in my area, as any different channel will be causing a drop in the network bandwidth.

The RE200, since it supports only the Band 1 channels, is not able to pick-up the 5GHz network. Hence my request.

May I know where are you located and how long have you had the extender?

Is the region code on the RE200 EU version?

Good day, and Thank You for looking into this issue.

 

  1. I am located at Pune in Maharashtra, India.
  2. I had purchased the extender just couple of days back, on 24th October, 2020.
  3. Yes, the region code is EU version. This is the only version, I see, is available in our region, in both online (Amazon) and offline markets.
