Archer C80 reboots automatically
Hi,
Recently i bought Archer C80 router and i am facing automatic reboot issue fot the same. When it happens, all LED's of Router are turned off and it restarts automatically.
My router is connected to ONU which is connected to fiber cable.
Initially i thought this issue might be due to connection to VPN but it's happening even if its not in use. My connection type is PPPoE and i don't think there is any power supply issue. I tried to trace this issue without much success.
Can you please suggest what can be the issue here?

I disabled 5GHz option. Only using 2.4GHz. Not seen any reboots since 4-5 hours. Can you share this with your engineers?

Definitely sure. Please keep monitoring the router performance, and let me know if there is still an issue.

@Kevin_Z ,
Hi Kevin,
No reboot since 1day now. So definitely the issue is with 2.4GHz and 5GHz activated simultaneously. When can we expect fix for this?

In my case it does not help. Last day's I made some tests:
advanced > security > firewall > spi > no effect, back to enable
advanced > network > internet > nat boost > disable - possible reason?
advanced > wireless > advanced > airtime fairness > disable
advanced > wireless > advanced > short gi > disable, no effect, back to enable
advanced > wireless > 2.4 ghz > 11n only > channel 6 - no effect, channel back to auto
advanced > wireless > 5 ghz > 11n/ac mixed > channel 40 - no effect, channel back to auto
Disabled, no need:
advanced > cwmp > inform > disable (used acs url http://127.0.0.1 acs user/passwd tplink)
advanced > iptv/vlan > igmp proxy > disable
advanced > network > ddns > tplink > no-ip > logout
Seems the nat boost service is problematic, with nat boost router crashes, drops connections etc.
So try to enable both frequencies and disable nat boost, also try do disable airtime fairness.

Do we have any update from your engineers? Have they been able to figure out when restart occurs? It is still happening quite frequently and making this router unusable during office calls.

Not yet. Do you have more details about the auto-reboot issue as we asked previously on #3? How about the power adapter, is it the original one, and it's 12 V ⎓ 1.5 A?

Everything is original. It was working properly till last software update. Its open and shut case of firmware issue. Disabling 5Ghz, I am not seeing any restarts. Can you guide me if it is possible to downgrade firmware?

Have You tried to upgrade? You are using v1.4.7, latest is v1.5.3
Firmwares - https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-c80/#Firmware
About downgrade, if the router does not allow downgrade please reset it to factory settings and configure it again using just "quick setup". Do not upload previously generated configuration file.
