Model: TD-W8961N
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello, i have some issues in configuring Td-w8961N router as access point.

I want to connect it as a second router, on a main router, through a LAN port. Is it possible for this model?

I follow the guide on tp-link site but that's model is not include in it, so i want to know how i can do that.

I do something like this:

I connect the second router to my pc and go to its configuration page, without any connections to main router.

Change the LAN IP into an IP out of the DHCP range and different from the main router (Main IP 192.168.1.1, Second IP 192.168.1.2)

Reboot

Change wireless settings using a WAP2 security

Disable DHCP

Reboot

Than connect the two routers with lan cable.

It still not working, i don't know why. Internet is not available.

I thought there's a problem with the model used, should i have to change it?

Pls help me!

Have a nice day!

Domv
