Bought this to extend the wifi range into the garage so I could use my Chromecast.

 

Works for a while then seems to drop out. When I try to log on to the extended network on my phone I get the error 'IP Configuration Failure'

 

In the UK with a Home Hub Router from BT. 

 

I have checked an the BT router has DHCP enabled.

Thanks for your patience.

May I know the model number of the BT hub?

Did both 2.4ghz and 5ghz have the same unstable issue?

When the error showed up, what did you do to recover the connection, reboot the RE or it would come back automatically?

By the way, can I have a picture of the error message?

If possible, you could try to log into the RE300 and manually configure the DHCP server to have a look:

Many thanks for your prompt reply. The only way to get things working again seems to be restarting the BT Router. The Router is the original BT Smart Hub.

 

Hopefully the attached will give you some more information...
