I have contacted the support of TP-Link via email and they said the following:

"Thank you for your support request.

Currently our R&D department is looking in drivers/firmwares etc which can be used with Big Sur.

As this takes time we would recommend to keep an eye out on our site for an updated version of the application: https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/archer-c1200/#Utility"

Hi TP-Link Team, Any update on the Big Sur compatible version of this software? (I'm using VR2800 and cannot connect to my printer due to this.) Thank you!

Can we write on TP Link support every day? This will help :-D ... They are too lazy.

So I will add myself to the list of unhappy Big Sur users who don't have a working driver for this.  I cannot imagine that a company the size of TP-Link wouldn't prioritise developing drivers for Big Sur, which is the most up-to-date operating system of Apple, the single biggest and most popular technology company in the world.

Just spoke with TP-Link support for Czech Republic and he told me there are no future plans for supporting USB printing on routers, apparently, this was announced a couple of years ago. Very disappointing reply...

For Archer C7 v1 - v4. Latest V5 not support USB printing - Does anyone know if it is possible to downgrade to v4?

Hello Everyone,

We have now updated a new official version for the printer controller utility, which supports printer sharing on the Mac Big Sur Version 11.x/12.x (ensure first your router firmware supports the printer sharing feature), you may install it to give it a go.

Note: This printer controller utility doesn't support the latest Apple M1 Chip.

@Kevin_Z I'm just reiterating the same question in hopes of maybe someone from tp-link will be kind enough to answer. Is it going to be available for the m1 macs????? Thank you for your swift response.
