Manual band selection for TL-MR6400
When are you adding the manual band selection on this router, I really need that option to get better signal quality.

Hello, thanks for asking.
Here is a beta firmware which allows you to choose the band manually on the MR6400, please check if it helps:

@M2NGWA_89 Hello
Same router, same version, same problem
With my huawei modem it works fine and very fast, but with this modem it's always ending on band 20 and very slow.
So I installed this firmware, and when I choose band : manual and then search, I have the following error : Error code: 89534 / No available band
I guess I have to go back to my Huawei, meanwhile your product remain as useless as it was...

@josh564 same here. I also installed it but now I can't even connect to the network I am using so I had to go back to my old router. This beta firmware sucks

Wow this really sucks. I’m not as unlucky as you, now with the “confidential only for test” firmware 1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 201113 Rel.63736n, I’m stuck on band 8 which hopefully is available with my provider… but at an ever lower speed than before.
If this wasn’t pure incompetence, it would be hilarious.
They recommend to us a temporary fix… which makes the matter even worse !!!
We can't even trust them, we have to wait for someone to take the risk I guess...
At this point, they should release as many firmwares as there are bands, and we choose the one that suits us the best.
But after reading over five posts for this exact modem and version of people with the same exact complain, I guess we can’t expect such a straight forward and helpful feedback.
I will stick with crappy but fast Huawei 5785 until they finally do their job.
EDIT : 30 minutes later, I plugged the Huawei back, and speed test immediately shows 78/50M while with MR6400 even before bricking it with dodgy firmware I wasn't going that fast. Definitely regret this purchase, it's not just the firmware...

This firmware doesn't help, it makes the matter worse !!!
Please provide us the previous firmware (1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.43036n) so we revert back and use our modem again in the slow mode instead of very slow (for me) or nothing (for @M2NGWA_89).

Sorry to hear that the beta firmware doesn't help your issue, you can download and update to the latest official one from the official website to revert it back to check again, thanks.

@Kevin_Z Where is it ? I’ve been looking everywhere on your website and there is no firmware for the V5 version available, only V3… Do you have a link ?
Well never mind, I just called and I will bring back the product to the seller for a refund, I will lose 10$ but that's better than waiting for you to finish your product.
Will never buy your brand again. Goodbye

Please, try to change which is the post as the accepted solution, as the correctly working firmware is with the date 2020-12-08 (that you also suggested at your latest posts.
The first beta firmware with 2020-11-13 is the culprit, it is the one that disables the 4G reception completely and downgrading to the last non-beta firmware doesn't solve it.
So, it's very important to press which is the good beta firmware because that is awesome, indeed.
