Model: Adapter
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hi there, I bought a TP-Link Adapter Archer T9E on December 2018.
Recently, the adapter cannot connect to the 5GHz channel, even it connects to the 5GHz channel, the connection is unstable.
There is no problem for the 2.4GHz channel, it's working fine.
The PC and router are in the same room, and their locations have not been changed for the last two years.
I've used two phones and another laptop to check the 5Ghz signal at the location of my PC, the 5Ghz signal is Good and there is no problem for these devices connecting the 5Ghz signal.
I've used a Wi-fi Analyzer to check the channel, there is no interference for the 5Ghz channel.
The current Driver Version is: 6.30.223.228
I've tried to update to Version 7.35.352.0, and it remains the same.

The operating system is Windows 10 Pro, version 10.0.19042 Build 19042.

@Ben7

Hello, thanks for reporting this issue to the community.

Please help confirm some details, and we will try to work it out:
1. Have you updated the Windows 10 Pro OS version recently when this issue began to happen?
2. What is the model number of your home router? If possible, please try to adjust the wireless channel and channel width on the wireless router for the 5GHz network.
3. When the 5GHz drops, are you still able to connect to it? If not, what is the error message?
4. If possible, try this adapter on another computer and confirm if the issue persists.
5. Is there any anti-virus software running on the computer? Can you please try to uninstall it and see if that makes a difference?

@Kevin_Z Hi Kevin, thanks for your reply.

I've solved this issue by re-installing the Windows 10 OS.

It might be one of the Windows 10 updates which are not capable with the T9E Driver.
