Archer AX10 hairpinning
Hi guys,
I had a C7 and that one had a loopback / hairpinning interface, however AX10 seems to have this one disabled.
Also, i can't find any Nat Boost menu in order to test if it will work with this disabled.
Can you confirm if the hairpinning is enabled on disabled on AX10 and how to enable it?
Cheers!

Can you please kindly explain what do you mean by hairpinning function on the C7 router? Is there a setting menu?

Hi,
There is no setting for hairpinning in C7, the loopback interface is enabled and you can access from LAN another host in LAN using the public ip and port forward (you are in LAN and you have a web server on another machine and you can access it using the public ip for example), in C7 you have the option to enable disable NAT boost or QO for cut-through switching/forwarding.
However, the loopback interface for hairpinning in AX10 is missing / not working.
How can it be enabled?
Cheers,
Emil

Hi Emil, thank you for your detailed description, it seems that you are talking about the NAT loopback feature, right?
May I confirm again are you using a UDP port or TCP port? Can you try the opposite and confirm again?

Yes, indeed, NAT loopback feature, which seems to be missing on the AX10.
In my case is TCP, standard LAN web server on port 80 with public domain on it and port forward on AX10.
If i'm trying to access the web server using the public domain name it's not accessible from LAN (using internal LAN IP address is accessible, using a different external IP address everything works fine...)

I see, if that is the case, it is suggested accessing the web server locally by using its LAN IP address. BTW, is there a reason why you need to access it via WAN IP+port locally?
We will soon report this issue to the developers, they will see if that is actually a bug or not, thanks for your understanding.

Hi, thanks for getting back again. May I know what is the name of that application, is it connected to the A7 via LAN? We may need to test this in our lab then give you a yes or no answer, sorry about that.
BTW, you can also try to change the port to some others, but not use the 80 port, then confirm again.

I've just both a ax10.
I have the same problem.
I can't acess my aplication using external IP in my LAN.
Do you fix this problem? This is very important update firmware to use the loopback funcion.
Why others tplink routers this function is enable and not in ax10?
I should be able to access my aplication in my LAN using my public IP.
