Firmware Version:

Hello,

My T3U WiFi Adapter connection drops frequently, like it drops for 3 seconds every 5-10 seconds, please check the ping results below. I have updated the drivers and also tried uninstalling the driver completely and reinstalling it but still the same issue. Can you please let me know what's wrong?

Hello,

Are you using this T3U on a Windows 10 computer? What is the details version, 1909, or 2004? You may verify it as below:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/

Try to update the driver to be the following one:
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200601/00015960-RTLWlanU_WindowsDriver_1030.38.0712019_Drv_3.00.0032.L.zip)

How long have you had the adapter and when did the issue start? Are other devices in the network are getting a normal ping result when you ping 8.8.8.8?

What is the model number of your home router? Try to change different 5ghz wireless channels, such as 36/40/44/48.

Thank you for your reply.

- Yes, I'm using T3U on Windows 10. T3U version is 1030.22.202.2018 and Windows 10 Version is 10.0.19042 Build 19042.

Try to update the driver to be the following one:
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200601/00015960-RTLWlanU_WindowsDriver_1030.38.0712019_Drv_3.00.0032.L.zip)

- The link is not working, it says - Please go to TP-Link Offical Website to get products, software and services for your region.

How long have you had the adapter and when did the issue start? Are other devices in the network are getting a normal ping result when you ping 8.8.8.8?

- It's been 15 days since I have the adapter and this issue started around 1 week ago. Initially, I had plugged it into my computer's front USB port and it was working fine. And after few days I plugged it into the back USB port and it started showing these issues, I thought it might be due to some obstacles so I again plugged it into the front USB port and the issue persists. And yes, other devices in the network are getting a normal ping result. I had a cheap ₹200 ($3) WiFi adapter which worked fine but it was giving speeds up to 25 mbps so I bought the T3U and now experiencing these issues.

Also, I see that other people have reported same issues recently on the forum - Link 1 | Link 2

What is the model number of your home router? Try to change different 5ghz wireless channels, such as 36/40/44/48.

- I have Archer C6 (EU) with the latest firmware and it is currently set to Smart Connect that automatically changes the WiFi band and channels depending upon the devices. Should I turn off the Smart Connect option?
