Hello everyone,

 

We have released a new firmware for the Archer AX10(US) 1.20 1.1.5 Build 20201230. For those experiencing issues like 2.4G downloading speed is slow or devices failed to communicate with each other when connected to the same Wi-Fi, update your router firmware first. You may get the new firmware on the router web interface or download it from the TP-Link website:

Review the below firmware release notes to learn more about the improvements.

 

Archer AX10(US)_V1.2_201230 (Includes all the bug-fix changes and new features in the previous 201116 version)

New Features/Enhancement:
1. Optimized the channel switching algorithm in different countries when the channel is selected as "Auto".

 

Bug Fixed:
1. Fixed the bug that keywords cannot be added to the filter content in the parental control profile.

Bug-fix Changes:

1. Fixed the bug of slow 2.4G download speed under some circumstances;

2. Fixed the bug that devices connected to the same Wi-Fi sometimes cannot communicate with each other; 

3. Fixed the bug that Wireless Schedule and Bed Time do not take effect as per the schedule;

4. Fixed the bug of not being able to access the Internet via IPv6 under specific circumstances.

 

New Features/Enhancement:

1. Added Smart Connect Function in AP mode;

2. Enhanced the security of the Web interface.

 

Note: It appears the firmware is not able to be downgraded to the previous version once updated. Should your router be working as is, this update would be optional.

Hi @berbat  @LDEVO  and all,

 

The Onemesh firmware for the Archer AX10 is available, please check for the update on your router web GUI/Tether app, or you can download it from the TP-Link official website, then install it manually.

 

You can also visit this thread we updated to get the Onemesh firmware on the router:

Note: The Onemesh firmware for the Archer AX10(EU)_V1.2 has not been officially released yet, you can download the latest version from the download link we updated in the above thread.

I am continuously facing internet connection issues from last 2 firmware upgrades in my Ax10 router.

Can you please suggest how to downgrade the firmware ?

Hi, can you please kindly describe what is the exact issue you are experiencing on your AX10 router? We will try to figure it out, the current firmware may not be allowed to be downgraded to the previous version.

@Kevin_Z Hello, I have version 1 and I received wpa3 quite a while ago, by the way thank you very much for this update, I wanted to ask you if you are going to add support for, DNS over TLS, thank you very much in advance. Best regards.

The Archer AX10 does not support DNS over TLS now, while we have noted that, and we will keep an eye on this kind of request.

@Kevin_Z since the last update my download speeds are a third of what they should be, with high pings, when connected to the ax10, now if i connect to my ubiquiti ap in another part of the house i get the full download speed but this is wired through the ax10, i can restart the ax10 and its fine for a while then the next day its poor again, all of this is why im sat 6ft from the ax10.

 

any ideas?

May I know when did you purchase this Archer AX10? Was it working fine before the firmware update? You may try to reset it to factory defaults and reconfigure it from scratch, then confirm the speed again.


BTW, what is the network bandwidth you got from your ISP? What is the speed you can get when you connected to the ISP modem directly? Please leave all the settings by default on the AX10 when doing the reconfiguration, monitor the speed first.

I received an AX10 router from my fixed internet service provider Digi Romania.
This model has a modified firmware from which the internet service provider has taken out several options. Unfortunately I did not have the option of backup or firmware upgrade. I can't upgrade the firmware from the configuration page because this option is missing.
Please tell me what is the possibility to upgrade the latest version of tp-link.
